Audit of Statutory Housing Act Reviews
Client: London Borough of Lewisham

As part of a systems review of processes in the Housing Options Centre, the Council asked RMG to audit the quality of statutory review decisions being made by the Council (s202 Housing Act 1996).
We took away 20 files and thoroughly reviewed the quality of the decision making and compliance with statute and case-law. Our experienced legal caseworkers applied their practical knowledge to the files and made recommendations. The final audit report was delivered to the Council and this helped to tighten up their reviews processes, and to make some changes in the ways that reviews were processed.
