Our History

The Public Sector business has grown from strength to strength in the last ten years, and our consultancy division is currently instructed on a wide range of projects with a number of Local Authorities and Registered Providers nationally.

RMG Public Sector (formally Dunlop Haywards Public Sector) started trading in April 2001 with the award by Westminster City Council of six comprehensive housing services contracts covering 7,500 properties. This included the delivery of two major urban regeneration projects.

In addition, the City Council chose to award RMG Public Sector the contract for the delivery of its Housing Options Service. This contract includes homelessness prevention and assessment, the management of temporary accommodation and the allocation of all council & RSL vacancies across the City of Westminster. We also provide a full Private Sector Leasing (PSL) service under the name of 'Westlets' to the City of Westminster and the West London Partnership of seven Local Authorities.

In October 2001, the company was awarded another major housing contract when the London Borough of Lewisham chose RMG as its partner to deliver housing management services to 1,500 homes.

In 2006 RMG Ltd was successful in securing the Westminster housing services contracts for a further 5 years after an open tender exercise. The stock in managment increased to over 8000 properties.

We were also awarded a major new housing management contract by the London Borough of Lewisham. The new deal involved providing property management services to 3,500 properties in Sydenham, Rushey Green and Forest Hill.

Since 2007, our Public Sector consultancy service has grown and we have provided a range of services including audits, contract specification and procurement, preparing for Housing Inspections, interim management, training and operational assistance to many Local Authorities and RSLs including the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Lambeth, Ealing, Southwark and Haringey; Central Bedfordshire Council; Rosebery and Wandle Housing Associations.

In 2011, we were awarded a long term contract with CityWest Homes to provide Facilities Management and Grounds Maintenance for approximately 10,000 units in Central London.
